    Labor Cost Controller

    About Us

    We are a leading multinational group specializing in the design and manufacturing of electric motors with a strong international presence. We are currently seeking a Labor Cost Controller to serve as a strategic "bridge" between the HR and Finance functions. The successful candidate will oversee labor cost planning and analysis for two Business Units, driving the modernization of reporting and the implementation of Workday.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Labor Controlling & Reporting: Manage monthly closings, accruals, and detailed Variance Analysis across volumes (Headcount), salary mix, inflation, overtime, and social security contributions.

    • Planning & Forecasting: Lead the Annual Budget and periodic Forecast cycles, validating hiring plans and critically challenging assumptions regarding turnover and timing.

    • Project Management (Workday): Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the Workday rollout, including data migration validation, ERP mapping, and testing reporting functionalities.

    • Process Optimization: Automate manual processes using BI dashboards and standardized Excel models for routine analysis.

    • Strategic Analysis: Conduct financial simulations for reorganizations and collective bargaining agreement (CCNL) impacts; support standard costing for R&D capitalization.

    Requirements

    • Degree in Economics, Statistics, or a STEM field.

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial controlling within complex multinational environments.

    • Hands-on experience with Workday HCM (data extraction, monitoring organizational changes); mastery of Excel (Power Query, XLOOKUP, and complex financial modeling); professional knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP FI/CO and HCM modules.

    • Fluency in English.

    Mission

    Main Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the development of new electric motor technologies and solutions
    • Create analytical and numerical models for motor analysis and design
    • Support the prototyping process, suppliers certifications and production institutes approvals
    • Plan, execute, and analyze laboratory tests for performance validation and product certification
    • Assist in software validation related to motor control and system integration
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electronics, mechanics, and product compliance

     

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field focused on electrical machines
    • Knowledge of electric motor operation, design principles, and performance metrics
    • Experience with engineering software tools (e.g., Ansys, Motor-CAD, MATLAB/Simulink, Maxwell, or similar)
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    Make or Buy Senior Specialist

    About Us

    Mission

    As a Make or Buy Senior Specialist, you will drive Nidec’s cost excellence by providing reliable and precise data to support make vs buy strategic and tactical decisions for Automotive (AMEC) and Appliance (ACIM) in different countries. You will partner with buyers, operations and logistic specialists of both BUs, to shape a proposal of make vs buy strategy for different manufacturing processes/components/countries and ensure Nidec’s competitiveness.

     

    Main Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with operations, logistics and be the reference point for procurement in the prioritization of make vs buy decisions/analysis
    • Become the leader of the make vs buy team for all costs analyses by taking a super-functional view, beyond the procurement scope to drive best decisions based on detailed cost analyses
    • Lead detailed cost analyses for all manufacturing process and cost drivers
    • Collect supplier quotations and Nidec’s plants quotations and analyze manufacturing process details and cost drivers vs the should cost
    • Partner with R&D and logistics to include packaging, transport, duties costs
    • Collect data for Capex and Opex and define immobilized capitals and warehouse costs
    • Organize and lead frequent alignment meetings with main actors for each of the cost analysis and prepare clear summaries and recommendations for the leadership to take proper strategic decisions

     

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Process Engineering is preferred, other backgrounds are acceptable
    • Deep knowledge of at least one of the main make manufacturing process for Nidec (aluminum die casting, lamination stamping, iron casting, machining, metal stamping) with ability to verify correctness of manufacturing process parameters and challenge them is a must
    • Knowledge of cost drivers, cost structures and main financial concepts
    • English fluent (speaking, writing and reading)

    Requirements

    Main Responsibilities

    • Active participation in Transformation, Make or Buy, Supplier Excellence, and Risk Management processes;

    • Developing projects for new and existing suppliers and managing commercial relationships, formalizing agreements to maintain or establish new partnerships;

    • Managing direct material costs and leading local negotiations; negotiating prices and monitoring KPIs to ensure the competitiveness of agreements between Nidec and its suppliers;

    • Aligning with the Logistics department on supply and service planning for the production schedule; analyzing and resolving invoice discrepancies for release or unblocking;
